“YAPpy” Beginnings
When I first joined YAP Global as a Marketing Intern, I was equal parts excited and nervous. It was one of those “new chapter” moments, the kind where your imposter syndrome tries to pack its bags and come with you. I remember thinking, “Am I really ready for this?”
From day one, I was welcomed into a team full of bright, curious minds who instantly made me feel like I belong and just like that, I went from drafting Instagram captions to diving headfirst into a world of storytelling, strategy, and brand building.
Learning the (Block)Chains
I’d spent years behind the camera and managing social media accounts, but YAP Global was my crash course in crypto communication. Suddenly, I was learning about DeFi, staking and the power of thought leadership while also trying to make sense of the why behind it all.
Whether it was designing a graphic for a presentation, creating newsletters, or brainstorming new ways to showcase the team, every task stretched me in the best way possible. My designs became more than just pretty pictures and aesthetic videos; they became a communication tool that translated concepts and aided explanations. I was connecting the dots between complex innovation and everyday people.
Intern-ational Growth 🌍
Somewhere between learning the ropes and my Instagram reel debut, I realised something. I was growing as a leader. I learnt how to take initiative, communicate ideas with confidence, without fluff and adapt quickly when things changed (which, in crypto, is every other day).
The team encouraged me to take ownership, to experiment and most importantly, to fail fast and learn faster. Before I knew it, I was stepping into bigger responsibilities, contributing to brand strategy and finding my rhythm in a fast-paced environment.
Exec Mode: Activated ⚡
Getting promoted from Marketing Intern to Executive felt surreal. I still remember when my Line Manager told me and smiling like a kid who just aced a test they thought they’d failed.
My promotion is solid proof that showing up, staying curious and saying yes to new challenges truly pays off. Now I’m focused on creating content that amplifies stories, collaborating with my coworkers and bringing that same “starving artist” to every new project. Because honestly? That’s where the magic happens.

If there’s one thing my journey at YAP Global has taught me, it’s this: growth rarely feels comfortable, but it’s always worth it. Whether you’re starting out, switching careers, or levelling up, lean into the process.
