She loves combining her knack for customer empathy together with her acumen to solve problems – no matter big or small. Her past working experience includes a stint in an APAC-based travel startup, as well as one of the fastest growing NYSE-listed companies in the ecommerce industry. She loves travelling and is currently based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Otto is the Finance Director for YAP Global, looking after all number-related questions as well as having an eye on strategy. He previously worked for Deutsche Bank and PwC, having gained his MSc in Applied Economics and Finance at Copenhagen Business School. He has worked and studied in London, Denmark, Sweden, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Otto believes that Crypto can radically improve financial inclusion globally as well as market stability.
George Harrap
Head of DeFi
George is a veteran crypto entrepreneur and former CEO and Co-founder of Bitspark. He has been in the crypto space for almost a decade now, first as an early miner, then a builder of the world’s first crypto remittance startup. He has built 6 crypto exchanges, both centralised and decentralised, launched 12 stablecoins, and raised millions from VC and corporate investors along the way. George now focuses exclusively on the DeFi space as the next giant leap for crypto assets and blockchain technology, through his involvement in various projects still in development.

Mia is a communications professional with marketing expertise based out of Washington D.C and Asheville N.C. With experience working across creative agencies, a Fortune 500 company, and running her own digital marketing business, she acquired her first Bitcoin in 2015 and has participated in the crypto economy ever since. Mia volunteers is a member of Meta Gamma Delta – the first ever female crypto sorority that operates as a DAO.

Rebecca is a freelance journalist specialising in the crypto and blockchain industry and is based in London. Prior to falling down the crypto rabbit hole in 2016, she attended the University of Lincoln to study for an MA in Environmental Journalism. Some of her work went on to feature in The New Scientist and The Ecologist. She now focuses her writing on crypto and blockchain and remains amazed at what Bitcoin, and the wider crypto space, have achieved so far. She’s written for Bitcoin Magazine, Forbes, the CISI, CoinTelegraph, Decrypt, and more.

Farhan is a PR and Communications professional based in Singapore with experience working in government agencies. He started as a journalist with the Ministry of Home Affairs, writing stories on domestic security, security innovation and technology, amongst others. Before joining YAP Global, he was working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, managing diplomatic relations with counterparts from Central Asia and North Africa.
Shagun Karki
Account Executive
Shagun is a PR account executive at YAP Global where she helps crypto companies tell their stories. Previously, a tech journalist for e27, Shagun has interviewed some of the biggest tech leaders from across the globe including Nikolay Storonsky (founder, Revolut), Aaron Gong (VP, Binance Futures), Nuseir Yassin (founder, Nas Daily), and more.
On a personal note, Shagun is a fun-sized human potato who thinks that office in the real world should be more like NBC’s “The Office”. She’s also an avid reader and is currently on a Murakami streak.
Cheng Jie (CJ)
CJ is a client relations professional based in Singapore. Formerly from the men’s fashion industry, he remains passionate about client servicing and hopes to transfer his years of experiences working with clients from London, Italy, France into the DeFi and Crypto space.
His first real exposure to Crypto began during the lockdown, with his fascination about its impact on the prices of graphic card units compelling him to dive deeper into the industry. Having studied for his degree in business and marketing in the US and Singapore, he aspires to help Defi and Crypto firms tell their stories and highlight their unique and meaningful causes.
